My husband has a close family on his maternal side. His mother was one of 5 children and their children all grew-up frequently seeing one another. This past summer two of the cousins organized a "Cousins' Reunion" held at South Fork, Colorado. What a great time it was for those cousins to be together! They all agreed that something had happened - how did they all get so old? Phil and I missed the picture but we were there. Maybe it will give others the drive to organize your family get-togethers. A fun time!

I belong to a book club - Ladies With Books. We meet every month. Last month the book chosen was by Kathy Patrick - The Pulpwood Queens - the Tiara Wearing Book Sharing Guide to Life. Some came wearing their tiaras and one went way over the top with her wild wig and leopard-wear. What a partying bunch of women!! Pictured are Gail, Sharron, and Janice.

Friendships
We've been friends for over 25 years. We celebrate birthdays together. One of these ladies was my best friend in high school (that was 40 plus years ago). It's great to have lifelong friendships. We've shared new babies, death, cancer, divorce, weddings, and grandchildren. That's alot of laughter and tears over the years. I value my friendships greatly and I'll share them frequently on my blog!

Easter
Easter Sunday has been a day full of church and family. I sing in the church choir and we sang 3 songs today during each service. Our choir performs at 2 traditional services each Sunday. After church we had 12 here for dinner: brisket, creamy potatoes fixed in the crockpot, green bean casserole, deviled eggs (always for Easter) and pickled eggs (always for Easter), waldorf salad. We topped it off with a creamy pudding desert that had Heath bars crushed on the top. Yum!! The Easter egg hunt followed for the 3 grandkids - 52 eggs hidden in all - and they found them all.
I'm new at blogging so hopefully, this will evolve with pictures, sound, and some type of design unique for me.
