Cactus Monday

I am a cactus/succulent fan. They seem to be easy to grow and require little care (sometimes I think they thrive on neglect). The above plant is a "paddle plant" or Kalanchoe thyrsiflora. I love the shapes and the coloring on each "paddle". I haven't had this one very long but it already has grown a couple of new paddles.

This one is Huernia schneideriana (Red Dragon Flower). It roots very easily - I've had pieces fall off and take root in the pot below it even - so I've got several of these growing. They grow longer and then will develop shoots off of each "tentacle".

Wow, that "paddle plant" is beautiful! The other plant sure is octopus-like. Both look happy and healthy, thanks for sharing. Happy Cactus Monday!

I think Diana is right, I saw this octopus cactus last week on one of our cactuteer blogs.....
I had this kalanchoe (is that what it is?) before but it grew too hard and then it loses its beautiful form

HCM!

Welcome to Cactus Monday. so happy to have you playing with us.

Isn't it funny how cacti and succulents go so well together?! and you have lovely examples of both. Love that little spindly guy.

happy Cactus Monday!

Hi! Welcome to Cactus MOnday! I am a succulent fan as well. I think I have the same plant as in your #2 photo! Mine bloomed last year little red star shaped flowers! Has yours ever bloomed? If it is the same as mine it is called a Huernia schneideriana. Give it a check on Google and see what you think!
Happy Cactus Monday even though I am slightly late...just past midnight on Tuesday morning EST!
